Richard started tutoring in 2016 and has since helped students across the country discover a love of learning. A native New Yorker, Richard is a graduate of Stuyvesant High School and Vassar College. He first caught the teaching bug in high school when he worked as an after-school counselor in downtown Manhattan. After college he worked in the finance field for nearly a decade before deciding to return to education.

Richard loves teaching math, reading, and writing to students of all ages and skill levels. He feels proudest when his students overcome challenges and reach their academic milestones. Their outsize curiosity and boundless imagination are a constant source of inspiration.

“Richard has been teaching our twins for over four years now. He does an excellent job of holding their attention, challenging them, and making math interesting. The confidence in numbers he has instilled in them has set them up for academic success. Other parents often ask what we did to develop their math skills and the answer is Richard!”
